575 prisoners escaped as a result of an attack on a prison at Nigeria, Oyo

It was reported that 575 prisoners escaped as a result of an armed attack on the prison at Nigeria, Oyo.

The Nigerian Penitentiary Service stated that 837 prisoners escaped last night when unidentified gunmen attacked the prison in the Abolongo district in Oyo. It was reported that 262 prisoners were captured after the attack.

Efforts have been initiated to apprehend 575 prisoners.
