An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred on Crete, known as Greece’s largest island. No deaths or injuries related to the earthquake was reported.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center announced that an earthquake occurred on Crete: “A 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred on the Greek island of Crete.”
There is no information on the number of casualties. An official statement was made from the institutions on the subject. It was recorded that shaking was also experienced by Turkey due to the earthquake, citizens went out for a short time as a precaution.
In Greece, the teams were sent to the region just in case, and they took precautions around the buildings that were damaged in the earthquake and that were in danger of collapse.
