In the Kağıthane district of Istanbul, a woman named Nurgül Altıntaş was shot and killed by a ‘Guard’ with a firearm.
After the shooting the Guard escaped
Nurgül Altıntaş (35) and the Guard, officer at the Gaziosmanpaşa District Police Department, arrived at Yunus Emre Park in Merkez District in the evening with a rental car. Taking out the firearm on him, the guard fired a few shots at Altıntaş. As a result, Altıntaş was seriously injured. The Guard got out of the vehicle and escaped from the scene to lose his track.
The injured woman was taken to the hospital after the intervention of the medical teams who came to the scene upon the notice of the people around. Unfortunately, despite the interventions made Nurgül Altıntaş could not be saved.
