Netflix’s popular series “Squid Game” broke the records of watching all over the world, yet a warning was made by the authorities. Reminding parents that the show should not be watched by underage children, the authorities said: “Young children are re-enacting the dangerous scenes in the series.”
Important warnings came to parents from different parts of the world for the South Korean-made Squid Game series. In a school in Belgium, the school administration expressed its concerns after students played games inspired by the Squid Game. It was stated that children imitated the plays in the TV series, and the losers were beaten at the Erquelinnes Béguinage Hainau school. The school administration warned the parents and emphasized that children should not watch the age inappropriate TV series. School made a statement about the issue: “We are observing the students carefully to stop this unhealthy and dangerous game. We count on your support and cooperation to make your children aware of the consequences this may cause.”
Similar news came from England. The Sandown School in Kent, England, started to provide education on the harms of inappropriate online broadcasting for children. The school administration noted that they put additional lessons based on this issue and they also sent a letter to the parents about the fact that the series is not suitable for all age groups.
