A cat carrying drugs on a leash around its neck was caught by the guards in Prison No. 4 in Russia, Ivanovo.
Ivanovo Region Press Service of the Russian Federal Prison Service (FSIN) stated that the substance found on the collar of the cat wandering in Prison No. 4 attracted the attention of the guards and the substance on it’s collar was later found to be 5.91 grams of cannabis.
THE CAT ESCAPED FROM THE GUARDS
The cat used in the drug shipment among inmates escaped from the guards. The Ivanovo District Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the incident and the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service announced that an investigation was also launched from which inmate or inmates the cat took the drug.
In Russia, cats had previously been secretly used by inmates to carry drugs into prisons.
