In parallel with the rise in the dollar rate, fuel prices continue to increase. LPG auto gas, which had a huge price increase of 45 kurus 2 days ago, has received another hike. According to the statement made by the Energy Oil Gas Supply Stations Employers’ Union (EPGİS), the liter price of LPG will increase by 19 kurus, effective from midnight tonight. After the hike, the liter of auto gas sold will increase from ₺7.35 to ₺7.54 in Istanbul, from 7.23 to 7.42 in İzmir and from 7.38 to 7.57 in Ankara.
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average of processed product prices in the Mediterranean market, including Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may vary slightly depending on companies and cities due to competition and freedom. With the Esel Mobil system implemented in fuel prices, the increases in domestic pump prices as a result of the increase in oil prices, exchange rates and international product prices are tried to be balanced without being reflected to the consumer as a raise with the SCT adjustment.
