“Birth Notification Application” service has been added to the e-Government application by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs of the Ministry of Interior.
Citizens who cannot make a birth notification in a health institution for various reasons will now be able to make birth notifications via e-Government.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, the e-Government application, which facilitates the lives of millions of citizens and provides public services to the citizens in the easiest and most effective way, in a high quality, fast, uninterrupted and safe way, has been issued by the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs “Application for Birth Notification”. added.
With the e-Doğum application implemented by the Ministry in 2018, it was possible to make birth notifications of children born in public health institutions and whose names were determined by their parents, in the health institution where the birth took place, without going to the civil registry offices.
Within the scope of the application, 75 thousand 546 birth registrations have been made in 235 public health institutions in 81 provinces so far, and Republic of Turkey Identity Cards have been sent to families free of charge.
Thanks to the “Birth Notification Application” service via the e-Government system in addition to the application, the applications for the birth notifications of the children of Turkish citizens who were born in the domestic health institution and who have a birth report sent to the Central Population Administration System (MERNIS), can be submitted electronically via the e-Government system. It was possible to send a signed birth certificate to MERNIS and to register birth events in the family registers by the district population directorates based on the applications in question.
How to make birth notice via e-Devlet app?
It is possible to apply for a birth notification through the system within 30 days from the date of birth of the child. The parents should add child’s name, religion, their name, and the information of the receiver of the baby’s id card in the given address on e-Devlet system and after selecting the address where the child will be registered, the application will be signed with an electronic signature.
Applications sent to MERNIS with electronic signature over the e-Government system regarding birth notifications will be checked by the district population directorate of the place where the applicant’s settlement address is located.
If there is no illegal situation in the population registry, the birth event will be registered in the population registry and the system will inform the applicant. If any illegal situation is detected in the birth notification and the application is rejected, the system will inform the applicant that the application has been rejected, and the person will apply to the population directorate.
