Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made statments on the issue:
“In response to NATO’s actions, we are suspending the work of our Permanent Mission in the alliance. They can convey the urgent issues that NATO needs to convey to them through their ambassadors in Belgium.”
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that they will suspend the work of the Permanent Mission to NATO, starting from November 1st, in the face of sending the employees of Russia’s Permanent Mission to NATO to their countries. The Russian Foreign Minister used the following statements regarding the alliance’s decisions:
“In response to NATO’s actions, we are suspending the work of our Permanent Mission to NATO, including that of our chief military representative. This decision will be imposed starting from November 1st, or it may take a few more days. Second, we cease the operation of NATO’s military liaison mission in Moscow, the staff of this mission will have their accreditation withdrawn on November 1st. Third, NATO’s information office in Moscow will be suspended. If NATO has urgent matters to convey to us, it can contact our ambassador in Belgium regarding these matters.”
